Field Engineer - Infrastructure (Night Shift)

Position: Field Engineer - Infrastructure
Location: Gatwick
Working Hours: Night Shift (Sunday to Thursday, 8:00 PM - 4:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities:
As a Field Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our infrastructure projects by:
- Safety First: Delivering safety engagement to ensure that safety standards are consistently upheld at the highest levels.
- Design Input: Providing valuable input during the project's design stage to ensure safety compliance with CDM (Construction (Design and Management) Regulations).
- Compliance Monitoring: Reviewing CDM and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) submittals and closely monitoring compliance.
- Quality Assurance: Reviewing contractor quality and commissioning submittals, including Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
- Design Evaluation: Contributing to front-end loading design sessions, including Business Engineers Alignment Meetings, to assess designs in terms of feasibility and risk.
- Inspection: Conducting thorough inspections of work to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, standards, and regulations.
- Problem Solver: Producing effective solutions to resolve site-based queries in collaboration with project engineers.
- Team Collaboration: Working closely with M&E Engineers to ensure that all work is installed in line with approved designs, and power supply and mechanical plant activities are executed by qualified individuals.
Key Requirements:
- Qualification in construction management or an engineering-related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience as a Field Engineer on large infrastructure projects.
- Understanding of project close-out and handover processes, along with knowledge of building control.
- Strong comprehension of health, safety, and environmental issues associated with the construction industry.
- CSCS (Construction Skills Certificate Scheme) card.
- Knowledge of NEC contracts is desirable.
