Job description

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to work within the AIR Asset Management Team, based at Warton but covering multiple sites and storage facilities on a temporary basis (6 months).

The successful candidate will be heavily involved with MoD assets, raising requests for new assets and in the return or disposal of MoD assets.
The candidate will also be involved in the daily management of logistics and admin tasks associated with asset storage at our two main facilities, issues arising on site or in the supply chain and ensuring our automated asset tracking system is working effectively.
The candidate must be willing to learn new skills and be able to work in a variety of locations covering both Manufacturing sites and off-site storage.
The role will contain, but will not be limited to, the following:
* Requesting, stock checking, transfer and disposal of MoD loaned assets.
* Carrying out physical asset stock checking/tagging and use of automated hand held stock checking technology.
* Helping with day-to-day management of storage locations.
The role will give the successful candidate a broad knowledge of the Manufacturing and associated support businesses across Air and a good knowledge of our customers and their expected standards.
Key Skills
  • knowledge of Tooling/Logistics skillsets
  • willing to learn about Customer loaned/funded assets mainly around the processes and standards expected from the MoD customer
  • Good communication skills

This role requires you to obtain a basic disclosure along with employment reference checks before starting.

The Umbrella rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (i.e. the rate we pay to the Umbrella Company inclusive of ALL employment costs). Please note, the rate paid by the Umbrella will be less, as will a Limited Deemed rate or Agency PAYE rate. Please get in touch to discuss the rates via these different payment vehicles.
