Join the GreenTech Revolution working on an innovative Transport Refrigeration Unit (TRU) system as an Aftermarket Engineer!

Are you ready to make a meaningful impact on our planet while advancing your engineering career? We're looking for a talented Aftermarket Engineer to join our dynamic team. Based at our headquarters in Surrey, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our TRU systems are designed for easy maintenance and repair, reducing downtime and promoting sustainability.

What You'll Do:

Master the TRU Technology: Dive deep into the mechanical, electronic, and software aspects of our TRU systems, becoming a true expert.

Enhance Serviceability: Evaluate service and repairability by examining drawings, CAD designs, and physical methods, and determine specialized tooling requirements.

Drive Improvements: Initiate and prioritize engineering change requests (ECRs) to optimize product serviceability.

Deliver Aftermarket Excellence: Ensure all Aftermarket goals are met and define engineering test requests for Aftermarket scenarios.

Document and Train: Create and maintain service bill of materials (BOMs), author maintenance documentation, and provide product level training to maintenance providers.

Be the Expert: Become the go-to point of contact for technical issues, offering remote repair support and analysing machine logs.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with product development and manufacturing teams to implement features that improve serviceability.

Technical Leadership: Lead technical interviews for internal and external technicians, sharing your expertise and knowledge.

Customer Support: Assist customers over the phone with troubleshooting and repairs, creating detailed reports for field support technicians.

Cost Analysis: Conduct cost-based serviceability assessments, raise engineering change requests, and develop maintenance documentation and training content (excluding electrical).

Setup and Management: Manage the setup of Vehicle Maintenance Units (VMUs) and design Aftermarket test rigs as needed.

Forecasting: Provide Aftermarket cost forecast analysis for all serviceable parts.

Innovate: Define onboard diagnostic and cloud-based prognostic solutions, staying at the forefront of technology.

Communication: Lead weekly technical communications with subcontractors and provide support during trials.

You Have:

Technical Prowess: A strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and the ability to grasp complex systems.

Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a relevant field (or equivalent experience).

Design Skills: Experience with CAD and a knack for reviewing design standards.

Bill of Materials: A solid understanding of service BOMs.

Electrical Troubleshooting: The capability to troubleshoot electrical systems.

Maintenance Experience: Proven expertise in serviceability and maintenance, particularly in refrigerated trailers, HVAC, or similar systems.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Collaborative Spirit: The ability to interpret and execute written instructions and work seamlessly within a team.

Proactive Attitude: A 'can do' mindset and the capacity to work within specified timeframes.

Problem Solver: Proficiency in designing solutions for complex problems.

Driving License: A valid UK driver's license.
