Job description
You will be involved in shipbuilding projects, therefore previous marine experience is ideal or other heavy industries will also be considered.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
* Installation of hydraulic and pneumatic ship machinery and equipment following current up to date engineering drawings.
* Carry out routine commissioning checks including pipework checks and machinery reporting back to the Supervisor
* To have the capability to communicate issues and problems with the relevant knowledge and ease.
* Diagnosis of malfunctioning machinery using detailed manuals and drawings.
* Carry out quality inspections on new equipment
* Work with both minimum supervision and as part of a team to successfully reach goals set to them.

* Ability to work as part of a team and also alone with a strong safety ethic
* Good time keeping and flexible to start / finish times

* Applying professional knowledge
Required Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:
* Certified time served apprenticeship
* City & Guilds
* HNC / HND
PAYE only, standard week Mon - Thurs 37 hours
Dayshift - £15.52/h plus £1.87/h holiday credit
Overtime - £19.40/h plus £2.34/h holiday credit
OT rates are paid after 37 hours
Contracts are long term, on going
