Job description
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilise your CATIA expertise to create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings, including those involving composite materials.
- Perform structural analysis and simulations to ensure compliance with industry standards, with a focus on composite structures.
- Collaborate with clients to define project requirements and objectives, considering composite material properties and performance criteria.
- Develop innovative design solutions for aerospace components and structures, incorporating composite materials where applicable.
- Conduct feasibility studies and assess the structural integrity of designs, particularly focusing on composite material behaviour under various loading conditions.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation to communicate findings, including analysis results and recommendations for composite material applications.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer in the aerospace industry, with a focus on composite materials.
- Proficiency in CATIA for 3D modelling and drafting, including experience working with composite structures.
- Strong understanding of structural analysis and FEA, with expertise in analysing composite materials.
- Knowledge of aerospace regulations and standards pertaining to composite materials.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, particularly in the context of composite material design and analysis.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate on projects involving composite materials.
- Signatory experience would also be beneficial, especially in the context of certifying composite structures.
Contract Details:
- Duration: 6 months (potential for extension).
- IR35 Status: Outside IR35
- Location: Bristol, Filton.
- Working Arrangement: Hybrid (combination of remote and on-site work- 3 days onsite).
- Rate: £38-£41ph (based on experience).
