Job description

Purpose of Job
Deliver test engineering work packages as part of Magma's internal or customer projects.
Principal Accountabilities
Deliver test engineering work packages as part of Magma's internal or customer projects.
Manage suppliers of test equipment and 3rd party test houses to enable the efficient execution of test activities both internally and externally.
Lead the development of testing methods, equipment, and instrumentation to facilitate greater understanding of pipe's capability and structural performance.
Deliver test procedures, analyse test data, and write test reports to clearly communicate the objectives, methods, and results of test campaigns.
Provide technical, engineering and design leadership to the test team to promote ongoing development and improvement.
Provide support to Business Development, proposing appropriate testing methodologies to develop pipe solutions for industry.

Experience
Education - Bachelor's, Master's or Ph.D. in relevant engineering discipline.

* Experience - 4+ years in industry.
* Undertake technical assessment of new designs and assessment of changes for products and test rigs including calculation/analysis.
* Technical Skills - detailed knowledge of test methodologies used for composites structures (required), detailed knowledge of different instrumentation methods (required), good report writing skills (required), familiarity with SolidWorks or other CAD packages (required), data processing experience in Excel or alternative software packages (desirable), subsea engineering experience (desirable).
* Interpersonal Skills - energy and enthusiasm for tackling challenging engineering problems, team player, good communication skills.
* Leadership Skills - willingness and ability to provide leadership and guidance within the test team.
