Data Engineer

A global construction and engineering company specializing in water and wastewater treatment solutions, environmental engineering, and infrastructure projects are on the lookout for a Data Engineer to play a pivotal role in building and evolving thier data infrastructure. This role will require expertise in dashboarding and reporting using Power BI, proficiency in data flows, and experience with Azure or AWS.

The person in the role will assist in establishing the foundation of the company's data environment, collaborating with various stakeholders, and driving data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design and development of a robust data architecture that supports the organization's data needs.

• Create and manage data flows to ensure a seamless and efficient data pipeline
• Help in the integration and processing of BIM 360 data
• Collaborate with other teams to design and construct temporary data architecture solutions to address specific project requirements
• Manage and maintain APIs, integrating data from various sources into the data environment
• Develop data models in Power BI that can provide actionable insights to various business units
• Connect Power BI reports to underlying data models, ensuring accuracy and responsiveness

Essential Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on Power BI, data flows, and Azure or AWS
• Strong understanding of data flows, ETL processes, and data pipeline development
• Familiarity with BIM 360 and asset data handling
