Job description
Our Water and Power contractor client are seeking a Senior Health and Safety Advisor to join their gas contract team working out of a Guildford office.
You will play a vital role in promoting a culture of safety and maintaining the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety policies and procedures.
- Keep the company on the right side of industry regulations and standards, ensuring they possess all the necessary permits and licenses.
- Identify potential safety and environmental risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
- Develop and update emergency response plans, conducting drills to ensure readiness in critical situations.
- Be the voice of company performance with comprehensive HSE reports.
Skills/experience/qualifications
- Exceptional communication and organisation skills, as well as H&S expertise, are all essential for success in this role.
- Experience within the gas industry is essential
- You have significant experience in a H&S advisory role with a thorough understanding of current HSE legislation.
- A NEBOSH Construction Certification or equivalent i.e., HNC in Construction as a minimum and a Tech IOSH Membership and working towards Grad or equivalent.
