Job description

Are you a dedicated and passionate Health and Safety Advisor with a desire to work on flagship railway projects?
If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!

One of the UK's largest communications and utilities service providers seeks a HSQE Advisor to join its growing team and be part of its continuing success. The role is integral to the development and success of ongoing contracts.

Position: Health and Safety Advisor
Location: Birmingham

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert Health and Safety guidance on a range of civil infrastructure projects.
  • Develop and implement Health and Safety strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and audits to ensure compliance with regulations and company standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams to promote a culture of safety and drive continuous improvement.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Monitor and report on Health and Safety performance, identifying opportunities for enhancement.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • NEBOSH or equivalent Health and Safety qualification.
  • Previous experience in a Health and Safety role within the Railway industry. Electrical would be a benefit.
  • Experience of working on the Network Rail infrastructure is essential
  • Strong knowledge of UK Health and Safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive and can-do attitude.
