Job summary
A busy London borough is looking for a Engagement Officer to aid in the regeneration of a busy London high street.

Job description
- Most important aspect is they need someone who has good written skills.
- Someone who can do first draft of a lot of the reports and documents so they can advance them.
- Someone who can act as a Project Manager to look at all the difference pieces
- Also supporting in Engagement and other strategic work streams
- Strong Engagement and administrative skills.
- Someone who is organised.
- At least 3 years' experience
- Someone who does have some experience with an Urban Policy or worked within the Communications Office for an Architectural firm.
- Or someone with local authority experience who has familiarity with building and producing reports.
- Someone familiar with the policies within Public Realm - someone who is used to communicating changes in Urban Spaces.
- Not a technical role and not looking for an Engineer.
- The sole technical skill is writing and Project Management skills.
- Looking for around £300/day to the candidate.
- Put the rate high enough where they can attract candidates with some experience.
- WFH - only 2 days in the office. Mondays and Tuesdays are the set days.
- However, for some engagement meetings, which they're pretty good at keeping them on Mondays/Tuesdays, they might need to be available for meetings on other days outside of the set office days.
- Budget to have someone in the programme till 2026.
- Length of contract - will check with Maria Davies but should be a 3/6 month rolling contract - hasn't raised a job order on Matrix before.
- Reporting to herself (Head of Strategy and Engagement).
- No line management responsibilities but they've used Consultants in the past for Consultation work which they may use again. The person in post will be responsible for overseeing their work.
