Job description

Having won awards from the Railway Industry Association, Federation on Small Businesses and Young Railway Professionals. We pride ourselves on being a small and agile organisation flexible to the needs of our Clients. We are now looking to continue our expansion plans going into 2024, to grow from 25 to 40.

The work we do broadly comprises three specialisms:

1) Project Management for railway Clients
2) Precontract services including Bid Management and graphics
3) Estimating for post and precontract stages

Our Client base includes Network Rail, West Midlands Trains and leading Tier One Contractors such as Morgan Sindall and Graham Group.

Core to our success is our organisation's behaviours - when we deliver projects we are pro-active, output-focussed and work to remove project blockers for all stakeholders wherever possible.

Project Management requirements

Demand for our Project Management service has been growing throughout 2020 and into 2021 and we are supporting TOCs in the Midlands with an increasing demand on us. Role skills, experience and qualifications are detailed below:

Essential

  • Experience being part of the delivery of projects to GRIP or RIBA processes.
  • Knowledge of railway safety requirements including Delivering Work Within Possessions regulations.
  • Experience in managing procurement processes and contracts for suppliers on behalf of our Clients.

Desirable

  • Some Railway experience.
  • Ambition to (or already working towards) the Association of Project Management membership.
  • Degree/HND/HNC level qualified in a relevant discipline or demonstrable equivalent experience.

This role will be based in the West Midlands, or North East with the potential for travel in the second half of this year as being a consultancy our Clients may change depending on who in our team has the most appropriate expertise for our customers.
