Job description
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Wargamer / Senior Operational Analyst to support our OA & Wargaming team in the Training & Experimentation area of the business. This part pf the business deals in Analysis, Experimentation, Service Delivery, Training, Operational Analysis and Wargaming.
Successful applicants will be team players and be able to work on a diverse range of projects, usually under their own initiative. You will have a mature track record of leading teams and managing projects whilst maintaining a hands-on approach to wargaming and operational analysis. Working in a fast-paced environment, your role will be varied and challenging.
The Role
As a Senior Wargamer / Senior Operational Analyst Successful you will work in, lead and mentor small project teams, both in our own offices and on customer sites in the UK and overseas, delivering specialised analysis support to a range of clients. Building on your current experience you will be able to support the team in the design of study or wargame activities.
The role would suit an analytically minded military veteran or someone with a commercial track record in military wargaming.
Essential Experience of the Senior Wargamer / Senior Operational Analyst
- A track record of leading teams, mentoring junior members of staff and managing projects.
- Experienced in one or more areas of Military Operational Analysis and/or Wargaming.
- A broad knowledge of OA methods and techniques encompassing both quantitative and qualitative techniques.
- Experience in the set-up and use of a variety of defence domain focused computer models and wargames.
- Excellent customer facing, problem solving, time management and communication skills.
- Self-starter, with the drive and motivation to succeed.
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
- Management of a team of junior Wargamers/Operational Analysts.
- An interest in technology, gaming and modelling.
