(NW Bicester SLR)
Project Manager
Role and responsibilities
Reporting to the Programme Lead (North) and predominantly supporting the Place Planning Manager (North), the Project Manager is responsible for monitoring and reporting on progress of the delivery of the NW Bicester SLR
Work closely with Cherwell District Council in the delivery of the SLR and as required to consider the requirements of other infrastructure being delivered in NW Bicester.
Lead the delivery of improvements to the existing A4095 Howes Lane including facilitating workshops to determine what is going to happen with it.
Work closely with key officers from Cherwell District Council (CDC) and Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) in the development of Funding Bids to funding bodies such as Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities
Develop a memorandum of understanding for collaborative working between Developers, CDC, OCC, and other relevant stakeholders.
Develop Heads of terms with 3rd party developers for the delivery of NW Bicester SLR
Assist in obtaining buy in of Commercial Delivery Structure for the SLR
Work with County Legal Officers or a suitable Legal consultancy to finalise Legal agreements required for the delivery of the SLR.
Understand implications of housing delivery on the delivery of the SLR
Consider the implication of any legal agreements OCC have with Network Rail and other key stakeholders.
Liaise with relevant designers and contractors as required in the delivery of the SLR.
Developing and managing the overall infrastructure delivery programme for NW Bicester (MS Project)
Manage relevant stakeholders using suitable tools.
Manage all relevant risks and issues concerning the delivery of the SLR.
Work closely with Key stakeholders such as:
Hallam Land
A2Dominion
Albion Land
Cala Ltd
Thames Valley Police
Cherwell District Council
Relevant Town and Parish Councils
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Expertise
A knowledge of the legislation and planning policy guidance in relation to Local Plans
Knowledge of up to date issues and innovation in the planning and infrastructure delivery
*Experience of working with people in other disciplines
*Experience of working in an infrastructure delivery environment
*An understanding of the role of elected representatives
*Experience of working in planning policy, including an understanding of relevant legislation and regulations
*Likely qualified to degree level or equivalent in civil engineering, related discipline ideally with chartered membership of relevant professional body e.g. ICE, CIWEM or APMP, but not essential if you have at least 5 years' experience and proven track record of great leadership in a project delivery or programme environment.
*A commitment to working with and developing other team members.
*A proven track record in delivery of plans or projects
*Driving licence and personal transport
*NEC4 Contracts Management desirable but not essential
£450 per day ltd (Inside IR35) Via Umbrella Company
Working hours:
- 37.5 hours a week min
- Monday to Friday
- Weekly Pay
