Job description

Procuring required electronic componentry aligned to MRP demands and budgets"

Programmes that we buy for are both internal and external and the final product will be working
with and for Aircraft and Radar.

Essential skills and experience

  • Proven experience in buying electronic componentry and knowledge of the electronics components market.
  • Competent in operating the SAP IT system

Desirable skills and experience

  • Ability to negotiation with electronics component suppliers.
  • Ability to expedite and improve delivery dates.
  • Ability to manage a full open order book (purchase orders).
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with functional colleagues and suppliers.
  • Understanding the role of procurement in line with company strategy.
  • Ability to promote and add value through effective procurement practices
  • Adding value through past previous procurement knowledge

The Procurement Professional develops and applies procurement processes within projects or business functions to source goods (primarily electronic componentry) and services, either for routine purchases or for lower value/risk non-standard items or services.

 The Procurement Professional works with other functional representatives and/or customers and suppliers to meet operational needs of the line management and the manufacturing business, and to ensure that quality, cost and delivery considerations are factored into procurement decisions.

 The role requires a solid professional knowledge and understanding of procurement principles and practices, including an understanding of the impact and implications of decisions made to business stakeholders and suppliers.

Hybrid working
x3 days on site for the first three to four months whilst in training. Thereafter 1 day per week on
site between Monday and Thursday.
