Lead Assessor - Independent Competent Person

About You
You will be looking for a challenging role on one of the worlds biggest Rail projects, leading a multinational team. You will preferably have a background in assessment of High Speed and Freight projects, and a demonstratable experience of leading Independent Assessment projects.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including project teams, regulatory bodies, and clients.
- Prepare comprehensive safety assessment reports, clearly articulating findings and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of assessment processes and outcomes.
- To review technical submissions from clients as required
- Provide subject matter expertise to clients
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their safety requirements and expectations.
- Collaborate with clients to address specific safety concerns and tailor assessments to their needs.
- To apply industry knowledge and professional judgement in collating, analysing and synthesising appropriate information in line with industry standards and company procedures for technically complex problems. Developing solutions based on customer needs.
- Plan and implement project activities, ensuring that they are undertaken within agreed resource parameters and delivered on time.
- Lead and motivating team members and interact with clients directly.
- To present technical and commercial information authoritatively to internal and external audiences and facilitate workshops and meetings as required.
- To check and/or review the work of colleagues and provide constructive feedback as required.
- To supervise and coach less experienced colleagues and confirm that project activities are undertaken in line with company procedures and authority levels.
- To encourage ideas and lead project and ad hoc activities, applying precedent and experience to decision making processes, whilst recognising when new solutions are required
- To develop new tools/techniques to meet the needs of clients, identifying best practice from other markets or countries as required, and teaching new skills to others as appropriate
Experience (Essential)
- 20+ years rail industry experience, including at least 10 years' experience in Independent Assessments
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Organized, flexible and able to meet deadlines
Experience (Preferred)
- In depth knowledge of Freight and High Speed projects
- Experience of working in Middle East
