**Job Title: Site Engineering Manager**
**Reports to: Division Engineering Manager**
**Position Summary**
Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager of the Motion, Power & Sensing Division and indirectly to the Business Unit Manager of the Fareham site, the Site Engineering Manager is tasked with leading and developing the engineering function for the Fareham site. As a key member of the Site Leadership Team, you will play a pivotal role in influencing, shaping, and integrating the engineering strategy, aligning it with the Division and Company Aerospace Goals, and the Company Win Strategy.
The Fareham site specialises in the design, manufacturing, maintenance, and support of avionics and engine sensing products for top-tier aerospace and defence platforms globally. Our flagship products include Air Data, Inertial Sensing, Displays, and Gas Turbine Temperature, Speed, and Oil Sensors, providing critical information for flight crews to ensure safe journeys.
**Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities**
**Operational Performance of Engineering**
- Manage engineering performance for the Fareham site, adhering to the Fareham Product Development process, Programme Lifecycle Management process, Parker Lean System, Customer Requirements, and Regulations.
- Ensure quality and timely delivery of engineering deliverables, covering technology maturation, new product development, product sustaining, and through-life support.
- Budgeting, forecasting, and managing R&D spend and headcount for the site.
- Utilize outsourced engineering in alignment with the Divisional outsourced engineering strategy.
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering, fostering simplification and automation within the engineering team's processes.
- Take ownership of the engineering aspects of site strategy deployment.
**Engineering Resourcing, Talent Development, and Culture**
- Manage engineering capability, ensuring the right mix of capacity and skill/competence to meet current and future engineering requirements.
- Lead, manage, and coach in line with Parker's values.
- Develop engineering talent for the site.
**Fareham Engineering Strategy**
- Define and execute the site's engineering and product strategy in alignment with Divisional strategy and customer requirements.
- Develop and manage intellectual property for the site.
**Representing the business**
- Own and manage the engineering and technical relationships with customers.
- Manage significant customer technical issues.
- Manage relationships with regulatory bodies.
**Team Collaboration**
- Be a team player within the Engineering team of the Division to contribute to the achievement of Divisional objectives.

- Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools, and resources.
**Field of Study/Area of Experience**
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience enabling successful job performance.
- 10 or more years of experience with proven results in an Engineering management position.
- Previous experience in the aerospace industry, preferably avionics, would be an asset.
