Job description
The Business Change Manager will deliver a range of Business Change services to drive engagement, adoption and embedding of change initiatives to support realisation of business outcomes and benefits. The Business Change Manager role is multifaceted and works closely and in collaboration with Sponsors, Business Leads, Product/Platform teams and other Delivery & Change colleagues to ensure high quality business change standards are met.
The Business Change Manager has responsibility of the end to end change management strategy, plan and interventions/artefacts to ensuring our people change their ways of working, habits, behaviours and the processes they follow. The Business Change Manager may work across a full range of initiatives within easyJet's portfolio, from organisational change, technology and digital transformations to the introduction of new processes and procedures across our geographically diverse workforce. Depending on the complexity and scale of the change, Business Change Managers may be responsible for leading the change management efforts across several projects/programmes simultaneously.
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Act as a trusted partner to Project Sponsors and Business leads, leading and owning the business change services and activities.
- Co-creates an engaging change story and vision, articulating the 'why' to drive leadership alignment, colleague engagement and a clear link to easyJet's corporate strategy by feeding into the organisational change narrative and story.
- Thinks and acts holistically, looking at other change programmes/projects inside and outside of portfolio, ensuring synergies are drawn, colleague impact is considered and business change efforts are aligned (where possible).
- Employs an appropriate change management methodology to create conditions for a smooth transition that's enables change to embed.
- Create tailored approaches to delivering change that considerers the needs of the project, the stakeholders involved and maximises effectiveness of the Business Change Practice.
- Develops change plans including impact assessments, stakeholder analysis, training needs analysis to enable more detailed project planning and alignment with broader portfolio of change.
- Creates and delivers tailored and creative interventions such as; culture hacking, coaching, learning and development or communication to accommodate the needs of different stakeholder groups impacted by the change.
- Provide change assurance to programme/project, products and platform teams by providing guidance and best-practice.
- Provide coaching, guidance and mentoring to Sponsors and Business Leads on how to lead change effectively, and people managers on leading teams through change.
- Craft and deliver change management training for specific roles or groups that grows change capability and tactical delivery of projects, i.e. change management 101 for project managers, change leadership programme for sponsors.
- Lead communication and engagement activities within projects and programmes, including the development of communication and engagement strategies and tactical delivery of materials.
- Lead the training and capability activities ensuring training needs are accurately captured and relevant training plans and interventions are in place for impacted communities, liaising with Learning & Development teams where required.
- Work in collaboration with HR and Industrial relations teams to ensure unions and work-councils are appropriately engaged and consulted on change programmes/projects, where required.
- Manage business change measurement, measuring adoption, engagement, colleague sentiment and transition progress throughout the change project/programme and addressing feedback through change plans.
- Work in collaboration with easyJet's PMO team to ensure people-dependant benefits are captured, tracked and achieved.
- Contribute to the build and development of easyJet's business change practice by bringing fresh thinking, industry best-practices and emerging trends to the business change practice, driving continuous improvement, learning and growth.
KEY SKILLS
- Confident in leading change using a range of delivery methods, including agile, waterfall and hybrid, understanding the nuances and requirements
- Certified in change management (e.g. Prosci/APMG) with end-to-end change management experience (from building change strategies to transition and embedding planning).
- High level of flexibility with a proven record of leading others successfully through cultural, process, system, behaviour and transformational change.
- Curious with a strong desire to understand more about business problems, change impacts, change initiatives and ways of working.
- Detailed knowledge of business environments and direct hands-on business experience preferable - in particular, understanding the management structures, politics and culture of the organisations owning change.
- Resilient and able to work under pressure, skilled at handling complexity, ambiguity and uncertainty.
- Skilled communicator with the ability to interpret and make sense of complexity through both written and verbally communication mechanisms.
- Excellent collaborator, with the ability to work and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Has a self-starter mentality with a strong desire and ability to make things happen.
