My Client is recruiting for a Project Manager in the Water Sector
Location: London office / Home based
The Project Manager role covers the provision of leadership, liaison and coordination of the various activities and disciplines involved in preparing and submitting tenders and delivering projects for the business.
Roles and responsibilities:
Project Management
- To promote and present the Company products and technologies to perspective clients.
- To utilise previous experience, cultural knowledge, business knowledge and contact network to explore opportunities for Company technologies in the Middle East.
- To arrive at a thorough understanding of the Client's requirements and Company's proposals for projects in which the company participates.
- To direct engineering disciplines in the production of project deliverables such as designs, calculations, specifications, proposals, drawings and other documentation as required and to be responsible for their compliance with the company's quality procedures and tender/contract documents.
- Management of own and subordinates time to agreed targets such that effort is efficiently spent.
- To direct, review and monitor the production, tracking and reporting of the project programme.
- To manage, promote and maintain Company's relationship with the client by means of meetings, correspondences and other various modes of communications.
- To direct to the site team in delivering scope of work in accordance with the Company's scope of work, budget and within the agreed project programme.
- To manage subcontractors and suppliers including reviewing scope of work, authorising orders/subcontracts, approving invoices, monitoring performance and authorising variations.
- To provide regular updates to Senior Management about the progress of tenders/projects and their status in view of the programme, budget and risk.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Engineering Discipline Qualification
- Membership in accredited organisations is a bonus.
- Management Training.
- Experience in the management in the water industry
- Management Experience in leading a team of professional engineers
- Financial Management Experience.
- Planning and programming training and experience.
