Matchtech are looking to make a strategic hire into one of our clients Data & BI divisions.

We are looking to hire a Senior Business Intelligence Manager to assist the client with ongoing support for the BI & Data teams.

This is a fantastic opportunity, and we are looking to speak with Senior BI Leads who are at the top of their game.

The role will see you 'pit your wits' against a variety of Data challenges, ranging from Tech Migrations, leading large programmes of work, getting the best out of your team and dealing with the ever-changing Executive landscape.

This is a hybrid role, so you will need to be in the central London office up to 2 to 3 days per week.

Key responsibilities for this post to include:

• To help the Director of BI lead new project developments on the existing data platform
• Help to pull in resources from external supply chains plus the wider regional teams.
• You will have a strong 'hands-on' technical ability so that you can cross-pollinate knowledge of common data models & datasets across the teams.
• Must be proficient in 'managing up' as there will be times when you will need to deputise for the BI Director and liaise with SLT & wider tech & non-tech directorate.
• You will be leading the technical delivery of legacy & new programmes, and be able to contribute to the implementation of complex BI, Analytics & Information projects.
• Some experience of managing and running budgets for BAU, Operations and Projects.
• Experience of Operational duties and excellent team management techniques.
• You will be able to develop & integrate best data practice and deliver business change across the BI & Data Ecosystem.

From a technical standpoint you will need to be Cloud centric and understand Azure Architecture.

• Data Migration project work around a range of technology.
• Appreciation of ETL Data Warehouse design, and development; building bespoke Reporting and Analytic Portals.
• Broad understanding of SQL Server & Complex T-SQL Queries, PowerBI, MDX,DAX, full BI Stack (SSAS SSIS, SSRS), PowerBI, .NET, applying Data Warehouse design methodology (Star Schema, Snowflake) Azure Datalake. Azure Products and Agile delivery.
• Must have experience of working with SLT & Exec Boards
• Management of teams ranging from BI Support to Data Engineering.
• Have a solid portfolio of running complex IT Programmes specifically around data.
• Solid understanding of leading data quality issues and Information governance practices.
• Excellent communicator to get the best out of your teams and gain respect from your peers & subordinates alike.
• You will need to have industry experience gained within Healthcare or NHS (potentially Central Government), fully understanding the complex data structures within these environments.
