Job description

Position: Senior Cybersecurity Specialist

Location: Buckinghamshire - but majority of the work can be carried out remote. Must be UK based in order to travel into office when required.

We are seeking an inquisitive and well-informed Automotive cybersecurity expert for the role of Senior Cybersecurity Specialist in our Consulting team, focused on Solution Design.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with automotive cybersecurity clients to define, contextualise, research, and implement vehicle product cybersecurity roadmaps and technologies, engaging with both executives and individual contributors.
  • Work alongside a global team of industry experts in researching, analysing, and advising clients on various cybersecurity technologies, tools, regulations, processes, and systems.
  • Provide support in developing and refining core customer deliverables, including threat & risk assessments, UNECE R155 compliance, and beyond.
  • Contribute to the creation of innovative research proposals and lead the delivery and presentation of strategic recommendations to leading automotive OEMs, industry consortiums, and suppliers globally.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills:

  • Ability to develop compelling, research-driven presentations on emerging automotive product cybersecurity technologies and principles.
  • Experience with automotive cybersecurity requirements, including threat & risk analysis (experience with tools and/or standards like SAMM is a plus).
  • Broad knowledge of the end-to-end automotive technology ecosystem, encompassing in-vehicle and offboard systems (e.g., E/E architecture, ECUs, connectivity, apps, software updates, cloud, etc.).
  • Experience in scoping and leading/managing projects with minimal direct feedback, demonstrating the ability to work with only broad direction.
  • Expert knowledge of key security standards and regulations (UNECE R155, ISO/SAE 21434, ISO 26262, etc.).
  • Flexible project management skills, capable of prioritizing multiple projects while addressing external and internal stakeholder needs.
  • Strong professional and technical writing skills, with the ability to convey complex information through actionable storytelling, facts, figures, and insights.

Desirable Skills/Qualifications:

  • Broad experience or knowledge of the automotive technology landscape, including infotainment, autonomy, electric vehicles, shared mobility, and cloud computing.
  • Experience in or support of a cybersecurity group at a leading automotive or IoT company (or similar).
  • Working knowledge of key cybersecurity processes and outputs, including incident response, requirements, threat assessment, and penetration testing.
