Job description
The Role
As an Export Control Assistant you will be supporting the implementation of the overall Export Control governance strategy to ensure that effective Export Control policies, procedures, processes, toolsets and training plans are maintained.
Main Responsibilities:
* Analysing documentation such as Export Control Classification Declarations and Licences.
* Inputting information from these documents onto various Export Control data management systems e.g. the US Export Control Database, the Jurisdiction and Classification Register or the Trade Compliance Management system.
* Supporting the resolution of a variety of Export Control queries from across E&I and FCAS programmes via email or through using specific toolsets such as JIRA, Web / Email Boundary Guard and Authorisation Services.
* Supporting improvement initiatives within Export Control e.g. processes, data integrity, training, toolsets etc.
* General administrative support for Export Control e.g. creating meeting schedules for audits and supporting document management and record retention.
Essential Skills:
- Good experience in analysing understanding data

- Excellent written, presentation and IT Skills
- Good communication skills
- Tenacity and ability to work under pressure
- The candidate must be good with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project and an excellent knowledge of Outlook
- Communication, Team Working, Motivation and attention to detail are Essential
Security Requirements: SC & ITAR
This role will require the person to hold full Security Clearance (SC) prior to working onsite. You will need to obtain a BPSS check as part of this process. You must currently hold or be eligible and willing to obtain SC. In addition, this role involves direct and/or indirect access to ITAR Material which means there are restrictions on dual nationals. Therefore you must hold a British Nationality to apply for this role. If you are unsure as to whether you are eligible, please contact me to discuss.
The Umbrella rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (i.e. the rate we pay to the Umbrella Company inclusive of ALL employment costs). Please note, the rate paid by the Umbrella will be less, as will a Limited Deemed rate or Agency PAYE rate. Please get in touch to discuss the rates via these different payment vehicles.
