Job description
The key function of a CAM Programmer is the manufacture of highly complex components in a fast-paced environment working within the Automotive, Aerospace, Motorsport and Marine fields. Using Siemens NX CAM for the programming of patterns, plastic, composite and metallic NC programmes in-line with internal manufacturing best-practices and procedures.
Create and validate Siemens NX programmes for the machining of components and tools. * Complete NC programmes for 3, 4 and 5-axis machines for a production environment * Develop and test NC programs with minimal direction * Provide assistance to machine operators and recommendations to Manufacturing Engineers allowing optimization of machining processes and machine tool capabilities. * Performing other duties as may be deemed necessary to ensure the effective running of the Department and Company
* Perform other duties as assigned. Participate in training/learning other positions. Accomplish related results as needed.
* Ability to work from solid models, part and tool drawings, process sheets, machine and programming manuals to prepare CNC programs for the production of various aerospace products.
* Make recommendations for improvements to work processes. Contribute to 5S program in work area.
* Provide a high level of service to all internal and external customers. Contribute to positive teamwork environment
* Contribute to TeamCentre conformity and manufacturing traceability

Competencies
* Experience of Siemens TeamCentre software * Technical problem solving skills. * Ability to work independently and as a part of a team * Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. * Strong oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge/Experience
* Expert knowledge of machining details of composite, plastic and metallic components * Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail * Highly motivated, with a keen ability to use own initiative
