Our client, a large Defence supplier is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join them on a contract basis at their site in Cheltenham.

• Due to the nature of the role, we are only able to consider sole British nationals and you must be eligible to obtain SC Clearance.
• 6 month initial contract
• £55 p/h Umbrella, inside IR35
• Fully onsite due to the nature of the role

The Quality Assurance function is responsible for ensuring the effectiveness and fulfilment of the Quality Policy, which is to comply fully in the conduct of the Company's business with all applicable regulatory and customer required specifications, and to maintain an effective Quality Management System, working in partnership with the Operations and Engineering teams to ensure that products and processes conform to applicable standards and specifications, and the incidence and costs of quality non-conformances are constantly monitored and improved, while maintaining the highest practicable standards of manufacturing productivity and efficiency. An internal review of resource has been conducted which has identified the need to use external resources.

The Quality Engineering function verifies compliance to company processes and documented procedures to ensure a robust Quality Management System is in place throughout the business. The function identifies, maintains and recommends quality business improvement processes required to maintain company quality approvals, working closely with all levels of internal and external customers including approval authorities.

A professional at this grade possesses knowledge for specific fields and performs structured work assignments. Uses established procedures to solve problems by making judgments and gets work done with quality under moderate supervision. Has limited discretion to vary from established procedures.
