Electrical Site Engineer Job Advert


Our client, a leading construction company in the UK, is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Site Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing electrical installations and ensuring that they meet safety and quality standards. This opportunity is for a contract position on an Energy From Waste project based in the West Midlands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on the construction site
  • Carry out inspections and tests to ensure compliance with electrical regulations and standards
  • Resolve any electrical issues or faults that may arise during the construction process
  • Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to ensure that the project progresses smoothly
  • Monitor the work of subcontractors and ensure that they adhere to safety procedures
  • Prepare reports and documentation related to electrical installations and progress
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in electrical engineering
  • Ensure that all work is carried out according to project specifications, budget, and timeline

Job Requirements

  • Significant experience in electrical engineering, particularly in the construction industry
  • Knowledge of electrical regulations and standards
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to travel to different project sites as required
