As a Highway Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the highway design team, working on a range of projects. The requirement is for you attened office/site 1-2 days per week in Exeter.

Our client, a reputable engineering company, is seeking a Senior Highway Design Engineer to join their team.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the highway design process, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
• Undertake detailed design work, including feasibility studies, scheme designs, and tender documentation
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, stakeholders, and clients to ensure successful project delivery
• Conduct site visits and inspections, assessing design compliance and offering solutions

Job Requirements:

• Significant experience in highway design, with a focus on feasibility studies and detailed design work
• Strong technical skills in using industry-specific software and design tools
• Excellent knowledge of relevant legislation and standards
• Ability to lead and manage a team, providing guidance and support to junior members
• Good communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Working hours:

• 37 Hours Per Week
• Monday to Friday
• Ability to travel into the office 1 day per week
