Our client, a large Aerospace and Defence supplier is looking for a Technical Project Manager (Electronics) to join them on a 12-month initial contract at their site in Stevenage.

  • Due to the nature of the role, we can only consider sole British nationals and you must be eligible to obtain SC Clearance.
  • Onsite in Stevenage - To start will be onsite mostly but once comfortable in the role can accommodate up to 2 days working from home.
  • £55-£60 p/h Umbrella, inside IR35.

As a Senior Technical Project Manager in our team, you'll be at the heart of a successful, motivated group developing innovative solutions to meet complex customer requirements. You will gain knowledge in navigation sensor hardware; in both conventional and cutting-edge technologies and the system trades that shape their development. You will be involved in the strategic growth of a rapidly evolving team and will take a key role in several multi-national research programmes with UK-wide & European travel.

What we're looking for from you:

  • Proven experience in the development of electronic systems from concept to production
  • A background in complex engineering industries, ideally aerospace or defence
  • Ability to manage and deliver technically challenging work package in accordance with design gates and processes
  • Experience in delivery, cost control and supplier performance
  • A technical management background in a complex engineering industry
  • Ability to lead and manage teams, suppliers and projects
  • Highly organised and process driven individual
  • Confident and assertive with the ability to influence change.
  • An appreciation of electronics, RF and component packaging would be advantageous
  • Appreciation of system design & integration challenges
  • Experience with good systems engineering practices
