Transport Planner - Thatcham - Up to £42k

Our client, a leading Civil Engineering Consultancy based in West Berkshire, is seeking a Transport Planner to join them in their Thatcham office.

In this role, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of transport plans and strategies. With a focus on Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, and Travel Plans, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient movement of goods and people.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing transport plans and strategies
• Preparing Transport Statements and Assessments
• Creating Travel Plans to promote sustainable transport options
• Analysing transport data and identifying improvement opportunities
• Liaising with stakeholders to gather information and address concerns
• Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to deliver integrated transport solutions
• Providing expert advice and guidance on transport planning matters
• Keeping up to date with industry regulations and best practices

Job Requirements:

• Significant experience in Transport Planning
• Strong knowledge of Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, and Travel Plans
• Understanding of sustainable transport principles
• Proficiency in analysing transport data and using relevant software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• Qualification in a relevant discipline is desirable
