Introduction

Our client, a leading company in the water industry, is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join their team. This is a contract position, falling within IR35 regulations, and requires extensive experience in clean water projects. As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of a large-scale capital scheme.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage mechanical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
• Review technical specifications and develop engineering solutions.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure successful project execution.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee the testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure quality and compliance.
• Prepare project documentation, reports, and progress updates.

Job Requirements

• Significant experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within the water industry.
• Strong knowledge of clean water projects and associated equipment.
• CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card.
• BSc/HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field.
• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) and first aid certifications.
