Job description

Our client, a leading engineering company in the UK, is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Engineer - Trim & Final Facilities. This is a contract position that offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a dynamic and innovative team. As the Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of projects within the Trim & Final Facilities department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the delivery of projects related to Trim & Final Facilities, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team, supporting them in their day-to-day activities
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify project requirements and develop appropriate solutions
• Manage project risks and issues, implementing effective mitigation strategies
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas for optimization and implementing best practices
• Mentor and coach junior team members, facilitating their professional development

Job Requirements:

• Significant experience in a similar role within the engineering industry, preferably in Trim & Final Facilities
• Proven track record in managing and delivering complex projects
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in the engineering field
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Experience in resource management and cost control
• Proficiency in project management tools and software
