Job description

Our client, a prestigious player in the retail sector, is looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to manage and enhance their IT infrastructure. This role joins a dedicated team that supports the company as it advances through significant transformations within their IT operations, focusing on physical, virtual, and cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implementing the current IT strategy through the development of roadmaps, principles, and guidelines.
• Collaborating closely with architecture teams to ensure a secure, agile infrastructure/cloud platform.
• Mix of support and project work, playing a critical role in the infrastructure transformation, maintenance and support.
• Taking ownership of incidents and service requests, ensuring resolution efficiency, and maintaining a world-class service level.
• Focusing on continual improvement to enhance service delivery and infrastructure reliability.

Job Requirements:

• Strong experience in IT Infrastructure, particularly Windows Server, Linux, and Azure environments.
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft Technologies, Red Hat Linux, Kubernetes, VMWare, and Data Centre operations.
• Proficient in Enterprise Networking, including WAN/LAN/WLAN, Routing, Firewall, and Cloud Authentication.
• Substantial understanding of Infrastructure Security, IAM, and overall system security.
• Demonstrable ability in Infrastructure Automation and Orchestration.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities
