Job description
Our client, a recognised public sector organisation within the HTP discipline, is actively seeking a Planning Officer to join their team on a contract basis. This role focuses primarily on Development Management, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to the strategic growth and planning regulation within this vibrant community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluating and processing a variety of planning applications in line with national and local policies.
- Engaging with developers, architects, and external agencies to negotiate and shape developments.
- Ensuring compliance with planning legislation and contributing to the implementation of development plans.
- Providing advice and guidance to the public and stakeholders on planning matters.
- Preparing detailed reports and recommendations for planning committees and senior management.
- Conducting site visits to assess proposals and their impact on the environment and community.
Job Requirements:
- Proven expertise in Development Management and Town Planning.
- Sound understanding of UK planning policies and legislation.
- Ability to manage complex planning applications effectively.
