Job description

Our client, a prominent force in the rail communications sector, is actively seeking a Senior SISS Design Engineer to contribute to a major rail infrastructure project located in London. This role offers the opportunity to work on pivotal elements of the project, specifically within the stations and systems integration sphere, focusing on Security, Information, Surveillance, and Signalling (SISS) systems such as CCTV, Public Address (PA), Customer Information Systems (CIS), and Access Control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing and delivering comprehensive SISS designs for major rail projects.
• Creating detailed designs and documentation for PA systems and CIS layouts.
• Integrating security and surveillance systems, including CCTV and Access Control within the rail environment.
• Ensuring all designs meet the specific requirements of GRIP 4 and GRIP 5 stages.
• Collaborating closely with project teams to ensure the seamless implementation of design solutions.
• Utilising advanced CAD tools for the creation and verification of design work.
• Adhering to industry-specific safety and quality standards.

Job Requirements:

• Significant experience in SISS design within the rail communications sector.
• Proven capability with Public Address and Customer Information Systems.
• Hands-on experience in designing robust Access Control systems.
• Familiarity with both GRIP 4 and GRip 5 design stages.
• Advanced proficiency in CAD software for design engineering purposes.
• Strong analytical skills and detail-oriented approach in technical design and documentation.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with various stakeholders.
• A proactive mindset and the ability to thrive in a contract-based project environment.
