Job description
Our client, a prominent player in the Automation and Energy sectors, is looking for an E&I Estimator to join their Warrington office. This role offers a superb opportunity to engage with high-profile projects in industries including oil & gas, nuclear, utilities, and power systems. With a focus on Controls Systems and Instrumentation, this exciting position is ideal for someone with a robust background in Commercial Management and Bids Proposals Tenders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the proposal process for single discipline and low complexity projects, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and compliance with procedures.
- Manage all aspects of proposals including estimates, pricing, technical and commercial documents, and contractual reviews.
- Liaise with operations teams to develop execution concepts and collaborate with subcontractors and vendors as necessary.
- Engage directly with clients for information gathering, clarifications, and site visits, and support negotiation processes.
- Contribute to and check the quality of proposals managed by others and provide expert estimation input where needed.
- Attend and contribute to strategy development meetings for proposals.
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience in proposals and estimating within the Automation and Energy sectors, particularly in contracting contexts such as oil & gas, nuclear, and power.
- A strong understanding of Controls Systems, Controls & Instrumentation.
- Proficient in producing and managing detailed commercial management tasks and tender submissions.
- Degree in an appropriate engineering or numerical discipline, or substantial relevant experience.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of leading multiple projects.
