Deputy Engineering Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Engineering Manager to join a dynamic Engineering team. This role is designed to address the increasing scope and complexity of our projects. The successful candidate will engage in both hands-on design work and leadership responsibilities. You will collaborate with the senior management team to drive task completion and contribute to team oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the leadership of the Engineering team in various capacities.
- Take ownership of specific initiatives, including process enhancements and the adoption of the AS9100 standard.
- Conduct 3D CAD design, from initial concept to full-scale production, ensuring the creation of precise engineering drawings and adherence to the Engineering Change Management process.
- Monitor and achieve project benchmarks related to time, cost, quality, and weight.
- Maintain professional communication with all stakeholders.
- Act in place of the Engineering Manager when necessary.
- Be prepared for occasional international travel to engage with a diverse client base.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience with 3D CAD software, particularly Siemens SolidEdge, is highly beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects from inception to production.
- A Mechanical Engineering degree or comparable experience, with at least 10 years of industry involvement post-graduation.
- Strong communication abilities, both oral and written.
- A collaborative team member with a proactive mindset.
- Capable of performing under pressure, juggling multiple tasks, and adhering to deadlines.
- Prior experience in Aircraft Cabin Interior Engineering would be advantageous but is not mandatory.
