Job description

This client is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join their Technology team on a contract basis in London. This position offers the successful applicant an excellent opportunity to engage with high-profile projects, contributing significantly to the business strategies and solutions at Barclays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analysing and evaluating business systems and user needs to ensure technology solutions align with business strategies
• Documenting requirements, defining scope and objectives, and formulating systems to parallel overall business strategies
• Facilitating design sessions with the implementation team to define the solution
• Delivering informative, well-organized presentations on system enhancements and alternatives to key stakeholders
• Conducting research to determine the best products and solutions for effectiveness and efficiency
• Managing and tracking the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforcing and redefining as necessary
• Collaborating closely with developers to implement the requirements, provide necessary guidance to testers during QA process
• Being willing to possibly be on-site in London for 2 days per week as per project requirements

Job Requirements:

• Proven IT analysis and business analysis skills within the technology sector
• Experience documenting and translating requirements into functional specifications
• Strong understanding of how IT affects an organization and ability to link it to redesigned business processes
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Effective communication skills, including the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders
• Ability to work autonomously and manage a varied workload
• Ability to think analytically, ensure a clean and clear explanation of complex issues and solutions
• Commitment to achieving project milestones and delivering precisely
