Job description
We are seeking a dedicated Business Improvement & Compliance Engineer. The ideal candidate will bring a background in quality management, compliance, or Six Sigma/Lean principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Root Cause Analysis: Investigate audit findings, quality escapes, non-conformances, Maintenance Occurrence Reports, and safety reports.
- Corrective Actions: Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement corrective actions, and measure their success to ensure compliance.
- Health and Safety Standards: Uphold and enforce health, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Training Programs: Develop competency and training programs for the Operations team to optimize capabilities in line with business needs.
- Process Improvement: Implement process improvements and workplace standardization following 5S standards.
Knowledge and Skills:
Essential:
- Proficiency in English at a negotiation level.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify root causes using data.
- Excellent skills in G Suite applications.
- Structured and proactive approach to work.
- Ability to simplify complex business processes and communicate them effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a team-oriented mindset.
- Experience in a highly regulated industry such as nuclear, defense, airline, or healthcare.
- Understanding of Safety Management Systems and Quality Management Systems.
- Strong program management skills.
- Experience in leading or participating in root cause analysis investigations.
Education, Qualifications, or Training:
Essential:
- Degree-level qualification in engineering, aerospace, or operations management.
Desirable:
- Working knowledge of EASA, CAA, or equivalent Part 145 and Part CAMO regulations.
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt, or equivalent qualification.
