Civil Project Engineer (Design focused) - Bristol - Upto £45k
Our client, a leading firm of consulting engineers providing structural, civil, geotechnical, environmental, and transportation engineering design services throughout the UK and overseas, is seeking a Project Civil Engineer to join their busy Bristol office on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities for the role:
- Assisting with the preparation and delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure designs
- Working on diverse Civil Engineering and Infrastructure projects covering residential, retail, commercial, and industrial sectors
- Undertaking surface water drainage design maximising the four pillars of SuDS design
- Designing foul water drainage, including consideration of pumping station requirements, package treatment plant solutions, and nutrient neutrality assessments
- Developing levels strategies considering cut and fill optimisation and spatial planning
- Preparing Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Evacuation Plans, and Drainage Strategies Technical Notes and Reports
- Liaising and consulting with external parties, including statutory authorities, water companies, and utilities companies
- Assisting in the risk assessment of design in accordance with CDM Regulations
Job Requirements:
- Competence in using AutoCAD, preferably with experience using Civil 3D and InfoDrainage
- Good working knowledge of relevant regulations and guidance, including Manual for Streets, Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, and Design Construction Guidance for foul and surface water sewers
- Creativity and innovation in the design of civil engineering solutions across highways and drainage design
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
- Knowledge and experience of the application of the CDM Regulations
- Ability to plan and manage personal and team effectiveness
- Commercial awareness and understanding of professional risks
Education:
Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering, whether through Level 4, 5, or 6 Apprenticeship qualifications or an accredited BEng or MEng Civil Engineering Degree.
