Our client, a prominent firm in the renewables sector, is on the lookout for a Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join their team. This is a permanent position with hybrid working options available in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Oxford, and Brighton.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading offshore foundation design projects, specifically focusing on monopile design and installation
• Conducting detailed geotechnical analyses and assessments to support renewable energy projects
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project outcomes
• Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
• Preparing comprehensive technical reports, proposals, and presentations
• Coordinating with external stakeholders, including clients and regulatory authorities
• Overseeing on-site activities and ensuring compliance with safety standards
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements

Job Requirements:

• Experience in geotechnical engineering within the renewables sector
• Industry experience in offshore foundation design, particularly monopile design and installation
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using geotechnical software
• Excellent project management and organisational abilities
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrable leadership and team management capabilities
• A degree in geotechnical engineering, civil engineering, or a related discipline
