Job description


Our client, a prominent player in the water sector, is seeking a skilled Construction Manager / Senior Site Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This role, based initially in Kent, involves managing treatment schemes for various projects, specifically in South East Water (SEW) and South West Water (SW). There is potential for future projects with United Utilities (UU).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing all aspects of site management for water treatment schemes
  • Supervising and coordinating construction activities on site
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety standards
  • Managing staff and subcontractors to achieve project objectives
  • Monitoring project progress and providing regular updates to stakeholders
  • Inspecting and reviewing project deliverables and ensuring quality control
  • Handling site documentation and maintaining accurate records
  • Addressing site issues and implementing effective solutions

Job Requirements:

  • Strong site management experience within the construction sector
  • Significant experience in construction management, preferably within the water sector
  • Proven track record in managing treatment schemes
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve project goals
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Relevant qualifications in construction management or a related field
