Job description

The role:

  • Understand customer projects, develop requirements and configure test & validation systems.
  • Build up and maintain a test and validation facility configuration library.
  • Plan and prioritise system configuration requirements on appropriate test facilities to meet project team and project objectives.
  • Manage data sets, database and version control to comply with retention and IATF16949 audits compliance requirements.
  • Compile technical reports and presentations citing clear analysis and summaries for decision making.

Skills/Attributes:

  • Ability to translate mechanical into controls requirements.
  • Self-starter, proactive and results driven.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage several tasks concurrently.
  • Technically inquisitive.

Experience:

  • Experience of working with FIE calibration.
  • Excellent communications skills, with ability to present information at management level.
  • Significant product knowledge for FIE components and systems.

Desirable:

  • Educated to a minimum of degree level in Automotive, Mechanical or Software Engineering, Science, Mathematics or similar.
  • Calibration, software, or system development and validation experience in a power train development environment.
  • Exposure to mechanical and/or electro-mechanical components and electro-mechanical products.
  • Understanding of hydraulic systems.
  • Sound mechanical understanding of fuel injection equipment and fluid dynamics.
  • Hydraulic systems development & integration experience.
