Job description
The role:
- Understand customer projects, develop requirements and configure test & validation systems.
- Build up and maintain a test and validation facility configuration library.
- Plan and prioritise system configuration requirements on appropriate test facilities to meet project team and project objectives.
- Manage data sets, database and version control to comply with retention and IATF16949 audits compliance requirements.
- Compile technical reports and presentations citing clear analysis and summaries for decision making.
Skills/Attributes:
- Ability to translate mechanical into controls requirements.
- Self-starter, proactive and results driven.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage several tasks concurrently.
- Technically inquisitive.
Experience:
- Experience of working with FIE calibration.
- Excellent communications skills, with ability to present information at management level.
- Significant product knowledge for FIE components and systems.
Desirable:
- Educated to a minimum of degree level in Automotive, Mechanical or Software Engineering, Science, Mathematics or similar.
- Calibration, software, or system development and validation experience in a power train development environment.
- Exposure to mechanical and/or electro-mechanical components and electro-mechanical products.
- Understanding of hydraulic systems.
- Sound mechanical understanding of fuel injection equipment and fluid dynamics.
- Hydraulic systems development & integration experience.
