Key Accountabilities |

· Teamwork o Communicate effectively with other engineers, supervisors, enabling functions, designers, and client representatives. o Support and encourage the development of your engineering team. o Input into your direct report's annual goals and check in on the development of these regularly
· Design o Contribute to construction feasibility reviews of the proposed detailed design, review and commenting on Issued For Assurance construction packs prior to receiving IFC information o Coordinate supply chain partners to contribute to design solutions at the appropriate time to deliver a right first time design solution that can be constructed with "no in-flight change" o Ensure construction issues are raised promptly through the delivery team, with an appropriate level of escalation to determine a suitable resolution o Write and/or Review Temporary Works Design Briefs to the acceptance of the TWC o Ensure the delivery team is working to the latest design, and it is fully understood. o Understand the design specifications and drawings for your section. Challenge where relevant.
· Programme and planning o Contribute to Cl32 programme updates with reviewing construction update information, and support any programme mitigation discussions with sound and robust programme mitigation proposals o Communicate the delivery requirements for the upcoming 3-6 months to your Agents/Sub Agents to allow them to begin detailed planning of the works
o Ensure your delivery team understand the contract programme requirements, at the appropriate level of detail, and are actively working to deliver to this programme.
o Develop and deliver a robust short term plan which aligns to the contract programme o Produce the whole life programmes for your works and update them at suitable intervals. Resource load the programmes to control interfaces and continuity. o Review and approve CL31 and CL32 programmes from the supply chain.
· Commercial o Write and review Subcontract scopes of works as part of the tender process o Ensure subcontract scopes are being delivered, o Support the commercial team and Package Manager with assessment of subcontractor applications and compensation events o Produce cost forecasts for your area of responsibility, and report monthly on any variance in spend from the forecast profile o Review subcontract tender returns to assess alignment of the scope and tendered price o Review the supply chain application for payments for your Package
· Quality o Create a culture within the delivery team where quality is promoted, understood and delivered o Ensure accurate quality records are delivered in a progressive manner as construction works are completed o Ensure quality records are captured and stored correctly. Utilising the Common Data Environment
· Safety o Lead by example and promote IFE and a culture of putting health, safety, wellbeing and environment first. o Be familiar with and demonstrate commitment to the requirements of the Health & Safety Policies and procedures (both for the Client and Skanska). o Collaborate with others to plan your works to minimise health and safety hazards. o Carry out regular safety inspections and implement recommended courses of action as identified from progress monitoring and management inspections o Set and maintain clear expectations for health and safety with your team and suppliers working on your section. o Prioritise the wellbeing of your team. Support and encourage their development.
· Environment o Be familiar with and demonstrate commitment to the requirements of the Environmental Policies and procedures. o Carry out regular environmental inspections and implement recommended courses of action as identified from progress monitoring and management inspections o Collaborate with others to plan your works to minimise environmental hazards. o Identify and implement opportunities to reduce carbon associated with your section. o Set and maintain clear expectations for environmental management with your team and suppliers working on your section.
