Job description

This role is Inside IR35

This role is 100% On-Site at client facility in South London.

This role is ideal for a professional who excels in electronic/Electrical product design, has experience with loom drawings, and can manage the end-to-end process of refreshing an existing product.

You will be responsible for updating the design, creating comprehensive test and operation manuals, outsourcing production, overseeing electronic assembly, and ensuring thorough system testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Design Refresh: Update and refine the existing electronic product design to improve functionality, aesthetics, and manufacturability
• Create detailed loom drawings to support the updated design specifications using Altium
• System Component Selection, System Documentation
• Documentation: Develop comprehensive test and operation manuals to ensure accurate and safe use of the product
• Maintain clear and detailed documentation throughout the design refresh process
• Outsourcing Production: Identify and evaluate potential electronic production partners
• Manage the outsourcing process to ensure timely and cost-effective production
• Assembly Oversite: Oversee the electronic assembly process to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards
• Coordinate with assembly teams to resolve any issues that arise during the production process
• System Testing: Develop and execute test plans to validate the performance and reliability of the refreshed product
• Analyse test results, identify issues and implement solutions to ensure product quality

 

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in electronic product design and development
• Proficiency in creating and interpreting loom drawings
• Experience with Altium for electronic design
• Experience in developing test and operation manuals
• Strong project management skills, with experience in outsourcing and overseeing electronic production
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, System Engineering or a related field
• Familiarity with other electronic CAD software and design tools
• Familiarity with LED wall technology
• Knowledge of electronic manufacturing processes and materials
• Understanding of quality assurance and testing methodologies for electronic products
