Job summary
As a Wireless Communications Engineer, you will have full exposure to the Engineering Lifecycle working on multiple major projects current & new, with the opportunity to take ownership of technical solutions presented to the MOD.

Job description
Typical duties include (but are not limited to):
- Produce Design Documentation Set, technical justifications and specifications as normally associated with RAN (Radio Access Network) Solution Architect responsibilities
- Ensure reviews and deliverables for Contracts meet requirements and standards
- Produce test specifications supporting Design, Development & Qualification Contracts
- Produce test specifications supporting System Integration Facility validation testing
- Support to Test and Commissioning Teams and Build activities
- Supporting with the end to end design process
- Interact with suppliers and customers
- Advise on maintenance and spares strategies
- Support QUALITY to assure a safe product and compliant operations
- Support ICPDS Project Team in the successful delivery of Radio Access Network Systems
Knowledge:
- Technical Knowledge of Telecommunications (Voice & Data Technologies)
- Technical Knowledge of Radio VHF/UHF minimum
- Technical Knowledge of Trunked Radio Systems for example TETRA/P25/PMR/DMR/MPT1327
- Fault Diagnosis, Maintenance and Repair of Radio Systems, Equipment and Radio Access Networks.
- Understanding of RF Spectrum Management.
