Job description

BAE Systems is currently seeking a Cost Controller to join their team in Barrow. This role is a 9 month contract with hybrid working arrangements, offering an excellent chance to be part of a dynamic business unit specialising in submarine solutions.

You will be required on site 3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

• managing an enduring cost management capability
• supporting the Deputy Head of Cost
• providing assured cost information and analysis to enable the Alliance Management Committee to make quick and effective 'Best for Programme' decisions
• Providing cost analysis and finance support to the Cost Team
• performing SQEP assessments
• Building effective relationships with key stakeholders

Job Requirements:

• experience in finance / project accounting / project controls / cost estimating
• Experience in the management of significant capital projects
• Significant experience in managing the interface between projects and finance and in ensuring clear visibility from project activity to the financial outputs
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
