Job description
The Role
BAE Systems Submarine Solutions are looking for a Lead Project Delivery Professional to join one of their teams.
- The individual in this role will manage part of the US/UK Exchange project.
- The individual will liaise with colleagues in the US/UK Exchange and with numerous parties across the business to enable project requirements to be achieved.
- They will have a wide level of experience in supporting several types of projects/contracts, and will use this experience accordingly in order to adapt and apply these practices in different circumstances.
Role Responsibilities:
Not limited to...
- Enables delivery of SSNA US/UK Exchange Workshops and Consultations.
- Drives creation, approval and implementation of Activity Sheets.
- Coordinates:
- Workshops including expiditing/driving agendas.
- Planning sessions (inc. video conferences).
- Security Approvals.
- Supporting and advising tech leads and participants.
- Expediting workshop reports to schedule.
- Expediting action completion and closure.
- Undertakes oversight of assigned US Embeds:
- Ensuring robust Knowledge Management Actiuon Plans (KMAPs) are agreed and routineley monitored/reviewed/updates and signed/closed.
- Ensuring BAEs benefits are understood and recorded (consistent with risks, opportunities, issues).
- Supports reviews with SSNA Tech Leads:
- Chairs Tech Lead Reviews for SSNR Tech Leads.
- Identifies Successes for upward reporting.
- Identities risks, issues and opportunities for action - and addresses.
- Understakes project reporting as required.
What BAE Systems are looking for, from you:
- Comprehensive PM Experience demonstated in a professional capacity.
- Comprehensive understanding understanding of one or more Project Management tools, techniques and practices.
- Applies problem solving techniques to situations of moderate complexity in the field of PM, taking requirements and data from internal (project) sources and external (customer, competitor and academic) areas.
- Application of related PM competencies will be expected at this level.
- Roles typically require a university degree, or a substantial amount of practical knowledge gained through experience.
- Incumbent will be expected have a PM Qualifition such as the APM Project Management Qualification
Security Requirements: SC
This role will require the person to hold full Security Clearance (SC) prior to working onsite. You will need to obtain a BPSS check as part of this process. You must currently hold or be eligible and willing to obtain SC and you must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship and have lived and worked in the UK for a minimum 5 year period. The Umbrella rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (i.e. the rate we pay to the Umbrella Company inclusive of ALL employment costs).
