Job description


Our client, a prominent contractor within the site investigation and engineering sector, is seeking a committed Ground Investigation Project Manager to join their dynamic team based in Doncaster. This is an exciting opportunity to lead geotechnical/geology projects across various sectors and play a pivotal role in our client's continuous growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing ground investigation projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality, safety, and budget targets are met
  • Overseeing site operations to collect data and assess ground conditions
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop efficient and effective geotechnical solutions
  • Maintaining client relationships through effective communication and project management
  • Preparing and delivering detailed technical reports and project documentation
  • Providing leadership and mentoring to junior team members and site engineers
  • Implementing health, safety, and environmental protocols on all project sites
  • Monitoring project performance and ensuring timely delivery of milestones

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in geotechnical engineering, with a focus on ground investigation
  • Proficiency in managing and leading projects in a cross-sector environment
  • Understanding of geotechnical data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • A degree in geotechnical engineering or engineering geology
  • Experience in project management or a high-level site agent role
