Job description
This opportunity is based in Gloucester, a hub of innovative landing gear technology for over 90 years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementing and supporting electromechanical test systems
- Developing and implementing electrical interfacing, PLC/HMI systems, and related controls
- Developing electrical interface systems within the test facility
- Acting as the point of contact for electrical facility support
- Collaborating with the Test Services Team and reporting to the Test Engineering Group Leader
- Liaising with customers and suppliers, with opportunities for foreign travel
- Broadening experience in qualification testing and data acquisition techniques
- Supervising specific tasks or activities
Job Requirements:
- Time served Apprenticeship, HNC/HND or BEng degree, plus relevant work experience
- Strong understanding of electrical safety
- Proficiency in electrical circuit design and installation
- Experience in PLC/HMI programming design and implementation
- Knowledge of motor control, electrical actuation, and power generation equipment
- Understanding of hydraulic circuit functionality and servo hydraulic systems
- Familiarity with control system, data acquisition, and instrumentation implementation
- Proficiency in electrical calibration of transducers
