Key Responsibilities:

• Leading the development, review, design, consultation, and delivery of various traffic schemes
• Promoting walking, cycling, and bus priority initiatives
• Implementing School Streets and strategic cycle routes
• Overseeing traffic signal works and bus lane projects
• Deploying measures to reduce traffic congestion
• Enhancing road safety through innovative solutions
• Working collaboratively within a team of permanent and fixed-term contract staff
• Ensuring compliance with highways, traffic, and transport legislation

Job Requirements:

• Proficient understanding of highways, traffic, and transport-related legislation
• Knowledge of planning, sustainability, and economic factors affecting transport policies
• Proven track record in delivering traffic and parking schemes effectively
• Relevant professional qualification or significant experience in the field
• Experience in developing and managing traffic and road safety projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
