Job description

Our client, a leading organisation in the nuclear sector, is currently seeking Principal Engineers specialising in HVAC, EC&I, or Mechanical disciplines to join their team on a contract basis. These roles demand chartered professionals who are security cleared and can work onsite for 2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and managing engineering projects within the nuclear industry
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory standards
• Providing expert technical guidance in HVAC, EC&I, or Mechanical engineering
• Coordinate cross-discipline efforts to solve complex engineering challenges
• Mentoring and developing junior engineers
• Reviewing and approving engineering designs and documents
• Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met
• Conducting onsite inspections and assessments as required

Job Requirements:

• Chartered status in HVAC, EC&I, or Mechanical engineering
• Significant experience in the nuclear sector
• Security clearance is mandatory
• Strong leadership and project management skills
• Proficient in the use of relevant engineering software
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work onsite for 2 days per week
