Job description
Our client operates within the dynamic Aerospace sector, seeking a Line Side Auditor to join their Military department on a permanent basis. This role entails ensuring the highest Quality standards and auditing processes within the manufacturing operations. You will report to the Value Stream Quality Engineering function and be an instrumental part of the Quality value stream team.
Essential Responsibilities
- Promote a safe workplace environment without risk to health, minimising the environmental impact. Ensure compliance with all Environmental, Health and Safety policies, procedures, rules, and regulations. Report all accidents and incidents.
- Ensure accurate and timely clockings (time and attendance) and bookings (job costings).
- Maintain clean workstations, ensuring tools and equipment are stored correctly. Uphold a clear desk policy.
- Comply with all Quality standards, processes, and procedures. Complete all work with care and attention, minimising wastage.
- Support cost reduction and management initiatives by reducing unnecessary expenditure.
- Keep knowledge and training up to date to achieve specifications and acceptable standards for your role (e.g., keeping Approved Operator stamps current).
- Actively participate in team meetings, share knowledge, coach and mentor trainees as needed, and be willing to receive training in other areas.
- Perform any other reasonable duties that align with the role's level.
Key Responsibilities
- Routine audit of work in progress manufacturing paperwork (route cards and associated record forms).
- Routine audit of process/work instructions.
- Product, paperwork, and system auditing.
- Communicate audit performance.
- Oversee workplace housekeeping and FOD prevention.
- Engage in Root Cause Corrective Action activities.
- Attend Quality Station/Intervention Centre.
- Participate in APQP element creation and maintenance.
- Follow up and investigate Quality Concerns (internal reporting).
- Maintain record databases.
Requirements
- Quality Controller's within this sector looking for that next step into auditing maybe right next step for you
- Strong knowledge and experience in manufacturing processes.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and IT.
- Effective contribution to team-working and group discussions.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to produce clear and precise written reports.
- Possess strong analytical skills.
- Ability to meet timescales, achieve personal deadlines, and contribute to team objectives.
Security Clearance
Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role. Please note that in the event that BPSS clearance cannot be obtained, you may not be eligible for the role and/or any offer of employment may be withdrawn on grounds of national security.
